It all began with a thread, six to be precise.

Introduced for the first time at the First Creatures Haute Couture fashion show, the Laser Game Premier Bags with their original effects have become a Maison Julien Fournié classic, and other models have since been added to the range.
These new luxury bags feature a new fabric, Laser Game, originally developed for Maison Julien Fournié by Sfate & Combier.

Laser Game is a jacquard of Lurex on a weft of silk thread.

This new technical weave blends six different shades of Lurex on a silk base. The result is an effect reminiscent of twinkling stars and the transmutation of colors visible on beetle wings.

This light weave is as luxurious as real embroidery.

In a photo series on the theme of Wabi-sabi – a Japanese aesthetic concept – produced for The Edge magazine, photographer Isshogai staged one of the Haute Couture dresses from the First Shield collection.

In the chapel of the Château de Pierrefonds, next to the statue of the Archangel Saint Michel leading the way, dancer Lia Kemendi wore a loose-fitting, boat-neck dress in purple absinthe-changing lurex Laser Game embroidered with liquid-effect designs in crystal splinters and tubes, with a purple absinthe-changing lurex Laser Game Shield Ombrelle and the Lilas Laser Game Premier Handbag.

Transforming, innovating, unraveling mysteries, finding the right proportions-that’s what Haute Couture is all about. And that’s what fittings are for.

Camille Tanne, this season’s newcomer, has delicious copper legs that we just want to show off.

The Haute Couture dress she’s to present in a few days’ time, for the Haute Couture First Shield show, imagined ankle-length, in Laser Game green lurex changing to purple, like Kryptonite, Superman’s mortal danger, is in fact a trompe-l’oeil with a chasuble parachute dress over it in double Purple silk organza.

This umbrella-cut parachute Haute Couture dress elongates the silhouette with its half-round skittles. On paper, this dress looked sublime when I designed it. In reality, this length is absolutely unflattering in these lines. During fittings, it just doesn’t work!

Crisis cell in the atelier. It’s always tricky to explain to a team, who have finalized a dress strictly according to my instructions, that the result isn’t up to my dreams.

But my team is also very critical. Everyone agrees that the length isn’t right. It’s too long,” I conclude. So we cut below the knee.

This time, everything falls into place. The words come thick and fast: “baby doll”, “porcelain doll”, “little ballerina”, “prima ballerina”, a very Parisian Haute Couture dress indeed. The body-hugging cut reveals an organic volume that moves perfectly.

The snap hooks that suspend the dress, along with the Kryptonite Premier Bag worn cross-body, add contemporary flair to this silhouette.

A youthful haute couture dress

Moisturized, naturally worked hair is pulled back, by Jack Merrick Thirlway of Salon Neville, to sublimate Camille’s feline face.

Make-up by Nicolas Degennes loads her cat eyes with mascara, and her red mouth is the perfect complement to her veil dress.

For her first steps on a catwalk, Camille Tanne finally managed to sublimate this Haute Couture dress with its youthful allure.

The Hexagon monogram comes from a reflection on infinity. I started from the motif created by nature, namely the beehives. A view as from inside a diving suit from another universe. From the suit we can discover: the planets aligning, the sun rising and the blackness of space to infinity.
