Founded in 2009 by the couturier of the same name, Maison Julien Fournié quickly made a name for itself.

For his first collection, the young couturier won the Grand Prix de la Création de la Ville de Paris in January 2010.

For the fourth collection, Julien Fournié takes his place for the first time in the official French Haute Couture calendar. The Parisian couturiers’ club elected him “guest member”.

In January 2017, Maison Julien Fournié was officially classified as Haute Couture, joining the exclusive circle of Haute Couture houses.

This label, protected by the French Ministry of Industry, is awarded by the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture to just a few Maisons (fourteen at this date) that combine the best of creativity and quality grade, Today, there are some fourteen Haute Couture houses worldwide.

While following in the footsteps of tradition, Julien Fournié has since forged unprecedented partnerships with high-tech giants such as Dassault Système, Apple and, more recently, Tencent.

Luxury bags

Since December 2020, Maison Julien Fournié has been developing a range of new luxury bags and accessories.

Initially, the idea was to offer new handbags seen in Julien Fournié’s haute couture shows and reserved, until then, for the Maison’s customers.

Since then, Julien Fournié has created new Haute Couture bag models, ranging from evening clutches and embroidered handbags to tote bags and baguettes.

These luxury bags are made in the purest respect for traditional craftsmanship, in the spirit of Haute Couture houses.

For the moment, these handbags, baguettes, tote bags and clutches are available exclusively from the Maison Julien Fournié online boutique.

Jewelry

In 2022, Julien Fournié created his first jewelry pieces.

These unique pieces are available exclusively in our online boutique.

Julien Fournié

Julien Fournié was selected as one of the talented graduates of ESAA Duperré, but preferred the technical rigor of the Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne.

Creativity? Julien Fournié, who became a “grand couturier” in January 2017, first came into contact with the biggest names in the industry through a series of internships during his studies. He worked for Christian Dior, Givenchy (when Alexander McQueen was Artistic Director), Nina Ricci and Céline, among others…

In 2000, at his school’s graduation show, he received the Moët & Chandon Prize for Best Accessory at the Paris Fashion Awards.

Having just started an internship at Céline, Jean Paul Gaultier recruited him as an assistant in his Haute Couture studio. In charge of material research and embroidery, he also collaborated on the creation of some of Madonna’s stage outfits for her “World Tour”. Noticed by another great name in fashion, Claude Montana, he collaborated with the designer, assimilating the master’s techniques of cut and pure garment architecture.

In 2003, he was recruited by Torrente (one of haute couture fashion houses at that time) as Creative Director for ready-to-wear, before being named Artistic Director for the entire brand.

Julien Fournié then set out to discover the world and emerging countries. He was hired by the LG Fashion group in South Korea to be Artistic Director of its brands. In Seoul, he encountered a different, future-oriented fashion ecosystem.

He then joined the exclusive club of Haute Couture houses
