Erminie Blondel stunning in a dress by Julien Fournié

Erminie Blondel was in Julien Fournié Haute Couture in front of some 8000 spectators of the Théâtre antique d’Orange, during Musiques en fête 2022, opening of the Chorégies d’Orange 2022. This program, presented by Judith Chaine and Cyril Féraud, was broadcast on France 3 and simultaneously on France Musique.

The soprano sang, in duet with Marc Scoffoni, a piece of The Merry Widow of Franz Lehar: “Heure exquise”. She was accompanied by the National Orchestra of Cannes under the direction of Luciano Acocella.

Since 2011, Musiques en fête has become the unmissable event of the beginning of the summer, the kick-off of the Chorégies d’Orange season. The Chorégies d’Orange is the oldest French festival since 1869.

Over the years, this prestigious event has maintained its originality. On the one hand, by the name it bears, derived from the Greek “choreos”, which links it to the Greco-Latin tradition. And, above all, by the place in which the choreographies take place every summer. An ancient theater, perfectly preserved, which hosts them with a capacity of more than 8000 people. It has the privilege to have kept its “Wall”, guaranteeing an exceptional acoustic. Finally, the lyrical and musical vocation that the Chorégies d’Orange have given themselves allows them to be at the head of the great French festivals and to have an undeniable international reputation.
