Julien Fournié designs them himself. The silhouette, the volume, the metalwork, the embroidery and the monogram are all drawn by hand. The leathers and canvases are selected by him, piece by piece. There is no design studio between the drawing and the object.

Look at four things: the leather (full-grain creases, coated split does not), the edges (painted or folded, never raw), the hardware (solid brass has weight; hollow plated metal does not), and the lining. Then ask for the material, the dimensions and the place of manufacture. A maison able to answer those three in writing has nothing to hide.

Selected and traceable leathers for the Premier, Big Bang Lines and some Tote Bags and Clutches. A coated canvas, supple and water-resistant, for the Hexagon line. A recycled poly-cotton moiré for the linings. Some pieces carry embroidery drawn by Julien Fournié and worked by hand.

Q: Are Julien Fournié bags made in limited series?

Haute Couture bags are unique pieces — a single example of each. The Hexagon line is produced in small series. No model is manufactured in open-ended volume.

Q: What is the difference between the Premier and the Big Bang?

The Premier is the Maison's first bag: a structured leather form, carried by hand or on the forearm. The Big Bang is its evening counterpart — a shorter volume, a chain strap, and embroidery or metal ornament. It exists in eleven colours.

Q: What is the Hexagon monogram?

The Hexagone is the monogram of the Maison, drawn by Julien Fournié. It comes from the honeycomb of bees, read as a figure of infinity. It is printed on the coated canvas of the Hexagon line and is the only exterior signature the Maison uses.

Q: How much does a Julien Fournié bag cost?

Q: What does the Haute Couture designation mean?

Q: Does Julien Fournié destroy unsold bags?

No. The Maison does not overproduce and therefore holds no stock to destroy. Haute Couture bags are unique pieces. The Hexagon line is made in small series. There is no seasonal clearance and no end-of-season disposal.

Everything begins with a drawing

The line, the volume, the metalwork, the embroidery, the monogram: all are drawn by hand by Julien Fournié. The leathers and the canvases are chosen by him, piece by piece.
The bags are then made by the workshops the Maison entrusts them to — chosen for their hand, and kept.
Nothing is drawn by a studio. Nothing is selected by a purchasing department. Nothing is moved to another workshop to recover a margin.
Haute Couture bags are unique pieces. The Hexagon line is made in small series. There is no seasonal overstock, no clearance, and nothing to destroy at the end of a season — because nothing was overproduced at the start of it.

Born in the Maison’s Haute Couture ateliers, the Julien Fournié tote carries a founding conviction: excellence is not negotiable, least of all in an everyday gesture.

Its silhouette is architectural. It moves through the seasons without yielding. Its materials deepen with use — they do not wear, they reveal themselves.

The cut bears the couture signature of the house. The handles, reinforced in leather, fall naturally into the crook of the arm or over the shoulder. Inside, a lining of recycled poly-cotton moiré holds a suspended leather pouch. A leather drawstring, fitted with a hook, cinches the bag or secures your keys — a discreet detail, an absolute certainty.

Every element was considered. None was conceded.

An exclusive monogram

The Hexagon is the only line the Maison produces in series. Small series.
It is cut from a coated canvas, printed with the monogram Julien Fournié drew himself, from the honeycomb of bees read as a figure of infinity. It is the only signature the Maison places on the outside of a bag.
When a series is finished, it is not reissued and it is not discounted. It is simply finished.

Haute Couture Handbags

More than a bag, a position

Julien Fournié draws his bags where he draws his collections — in the same atelier, in the same season, in the same hand. The line comes first. The function follows, and never contradicts it.

The forms borrow from the couture silhouettes: sculptural volumes, closed colours, metal ornament set flush rather than applied. The embroidery is drawn before it is worked. None of the pieces carries a visible logo.

A Julien Fournié bag is not a finishing touch. It is a position — held with a plain coat as readily as with an evening dress.

In January 2017 the Maison was granted the Haute Couture designation — a title protected by the French Ministry of Industry and held by a small number of houses. It is awarded on the work of the atelier, not on the size of the company.
Since December 2020 the Maison has extended that work to bags, belts and accessories. The intention has not changed since the first collection: to make objects that outlive the season that produced them.
