Luxury accessories for Halloween
Julien Fournié draws on Halloween imagery to turn mystery into elegance, blending shadow and light, spectral lace, and spider-web–inspired embroidery.
The Premier Spider and Freddy bags embody this aesthetic: the Premier Spider evokes arachnid delicacy, Freddy adopts a darker, more sculptural presence, while the Big Bang Bloody Mary bag bursts in dramatic red with metallic finishes. On the runway, these pieces complete transformed silhouettes where the macabre becomes poetry and fear turns into fascination.
Julien Fournié and Halloween
In the world of Haute Couture, every designer seeks a source of inspiration that transcends the everyday. For Julien Fournié, master of sculptural silhouettes and visual storytelling, Halloween is far more than a folkloric celebration—it is a reservoir of symbols, contrasts, and mythologies. Far from clichés, he draws from it an aesthetic where shadow converses with light, where mystery nourishes elegance, and where fear transforms into wonder.
Like Halloween, fashion is rooted in the idea of metamorphosis. On the night of October 31st, everyone reinvents themselves: the child becomes a witch, the neighbor turns into a vampire, the anonymous hides behind a mask. In his collections, Julien Fournié orchestrates these same enchantments. His gowns are not mere garments—they transfigure those who wear them, elevating them to the status of heroines in a Haute Couture fairytale.
The Atelier: A Laboratory of Enchantments
In his atelier, the spirit of Halloween manifests through embroideries evoking spiderwebs, claw marks, moonlit glimmers, esoteric symbols, lightning bolts, alien figures, and spectral lace. Each stitch becomes an incantation, each drape an invocation. Metamorphosis becomes ritual—a celebration of fluid identity.
The Palette of Shadows and Spark
Halloween’s colors—deep black, hypnotic violets, regal purples, spectral silvers—echo throughout his collections. Black, the emblem of mystery, becomes a canvas for luminous embroidery, while metallic flashes and shimmering sequins turn darkness into delight. Where others see a childlike festivity, Julien Fournié unveils a true chromatic mythology.
Masks and Dramaturgy
The mask, central to Halloween, is also at the heart of fashion’s theatre. A storyteller at heart, Julien Fournié envisions his runway shows as stages where each model embodies a character. Makeup by Nicolas Degennes heightens this strangeness, giving the silhouettes an almost supernatural aura. Iridescent chiffons, mysterious hoods, armor-like bodices, and feathered carapaces compose an elegant dramaturgy where fear becomes fascination.
Gothic and Romantic Heritage
Halloween conjures witches, vampires, tragic heroines, and unsettling clowns. Julien Fournié, steeped in visual and cinematic culture, transposes this imagery into long, fluid, sometimes spectral gowns. Black lace, sculpted corsets, Victorian sleeves, and dresses tinged with dramatic red become symbols of power and poetry. Far from pastiche, he elevates this heritage: shadow becomes poetry, melancholy becomes strength.
Light and Night
What fascinates Julien Fournié about Halloween is not only the darkness, but the light that emerges from it. In his shows, light is a character in its own right: it caresses specially crafted fabrics, reveals volumes, sculpts silhouettes. Crystals, liquid gold, sequins, and metallic flashes become magical sparks, turning night into wonder—as if the gowns were enchanted.
Cinematic Imagination
A passionate cinephile, Julien Fournié draws from Halloween’s filmic iconography—from horror classics to contemporary blockbusters—a gallery of characters he transposes into the Haute Couture universe. His heroines seem to step off the screen, between sublime ghosts and sovereign witches, embodying a Couture that is both narrative and transfiguration.

About Julien Fournié Haute Couture
More than a fashion brand, Maison Julien Fournié is a luxury experience that transcends trends and seasons. With a commitment to excellence and innovation, Julien Fournié continues to redefine the world of ultra-luxury.
Julien Fournié was founded in 2009.
The history of the house is reflected in its haute couture collections, which are presented in Paris every January and July during Haute Couture Week.
For his first collection, the young couturier was awarded the Grand Prize for Creativity by the City of Paris in January 2010.
For his fourth collection, in January 2011, Julien Fournié became a “guest member” of the official calendar of the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture catwalk shows. This was the first step towards recognizing Julien Fournié as a promising new brand in the circle of the great couturiers.
In January 2017, the Julien Fournié house was officially classified as “Haute Couture”. This label, protected by the French Ministry of Industry, is awarded to a few houses (only ten prestigious Haute Couture houses are currently on this list) that combine the best creativity in design and the highest quality in garment making.
Since its inception, Julien Fournié has also had the honor of being invited to show its collections at prestigious events abroad, in order to bring the couturier’s style to luxury clients from all over the world.
In March 2023, a Julien Fournié dress, worn by the actress Audrey Fleurot, entered the Grévin Museum in Paris.
In April 2023, the first retrospective of Julien Fournié’s work will be held at SCAD Lacoste in an exhibition entitled “Haute Couture un point c’est tout”.
While respecting tradition, Julien Fournié has also forged new partnerships with high-tech giants such as Apple and Tencent.
Julien Fournié has thus been able to digitize the creation, design and personalization of his haute couture pieces. He is one of the few haute couture designers to master the new digital tools.
Long regarded as a survivor of a bygone era, the haute couture market has experienced a new boom in recent years. Thanks to new technologies, Julien Fournié has been able to establish direct and unique means of communication with his clients. It is no longer a question of sending a sketch to the client for approval, as was the case in the past.
Julien Fournié has introduced a new process in which clients are no longer mere spectators of the creative process. They have become actors in the unique experience of creating a garment wherever they are.
Since December 2020, Julien Fournié has been developing a line of luxury bags and accessories. Initially, the idea was to offer handbags that could be seen in Julien Fournié shows and were previously reserved for haute couture customers.
