The Julien Fournié Haute Couture Collection Is All About Defending Femininity

A show of theatrical proportion describes the Julien Fournié autumn-winter 2023-24 collection. As the first models descended down the runway their walk was serious and military like, but as the show progressed the models walked with grace and femininity and their walk reflected this.

Couture seems a little lost with designers creating demi-couture, semi-couture, and Haute Couture that Fournié is noticeably annoyed because for him there is only one Couture: Haute Couture. An official member of the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode, this collection as his Maison states in House notes is a, “counterattack on style and fashion design, a real call to resist fake trends with elegance and creativity.”…
