Julien Fournié Haute Couture Belt
A belt, in the Julien Fournié vocabulary, is never merely functional.
This piece is built on a nude lambskin collar, tone-on-tone overstitched with the quiet precision that distinguishes handmade work from the merely well-made. The stitching does not announce itself — it is felt before it is seen, a line of tension that gives the piece its posture.
Over this foundation sits a removable cartridge belt in smooth Burgundy lambskin — a deep, wine-dark shade with the natural lustre of fine leather. The edges are finished with a bright lacquer: sharp, clean, a detail borrowed from the vocabulary of jewellery rather than accessories. The Burgundy viscose trimmings, also removable, add softness and volume, shifting the silhouette depending on how the piece is worn.
The hardware is grey-green anodized metal — an unexpected choice that resists the predictability of gold or silver, sitting instead in a cooler, more considered register. Julien Fournié logo press studs secure the cartridge belt with a satisfying precision.
Waist size 66 to 68 cm. Made in a single copy.
Like everything produced by the Maison, this belt is handcrafted in the strictest tradition of French artisanal savoir-faire. It is not adjustable to every woman — it is made for one. An object that transforms an outfit the way only Haute Couture can: completely, and without effort.
