Unveiled on the runway of the First Vamps Haute Couture show, the Haute Couture Freddy bag immediately captivated with its daring spirit. Crafted from powder-grained leather with a velvety touch, it stands out through a sophisticated interplay of textures and sheens.
Entirely hand-embroidered from an original sketch by Julien Fournié, the flap comes alive with a 3D motif of interlaced faceted pearls, ombré sequins, crystals, and metallic blades. This precious yet provocative embroidery evokes a blood-like flow, a discreet homage to Freddy Krueger’s nightmare, the blade-gloved figure dreamed up by Wes Craven.
The removable 121 cm chain and its gunmetal-colored hardware lend a decidedly contemporary edge. Adjustable with a single click, it detaches in an instant, transforming the day bag into an elegant evening clutch.
Inside, the black faille lining reveals smooth leather, two gusseted pockets, and a zippered compartment—meticulous organization that never compromises the interior’s refined aesthetic.
Julien Fournié confides:
“The Premier Bag is our iconic grain-grained leather classic, elevated by a gunmetal latch and bumper-style piercings. For this Freddy, I chose to play with a trompe-l’œil of three-dimensional, blood-splattered slashes. Pearls, sequins, crystals, and metal blades cascade like a stream of hemoglobin, bearing the marks of Freddy’s nightmare. Since childhood, Wes Craven’s inventive universe has endlessly inspired me, and I wanted to translate that fascination into Haute Couture embroidery.”
Timeless yet infused with bold stylistic audacity, this luxury bag is made for the modern woman seeking an accessory that is both refined and subversive.
